Paul Clausen, 29, died Wednesday, August 16, 2000 in an industrial accident.

Paul was born Nov. 18, 1970, in Osage, Iowa, to Richard and Marlene Clausen. He lived at the family farm by Stacyville, Iowa, for most of his life. He attended school in St. Ansgar, Iowa. He spent many of these years active in the local 4-H Club, showing and riding horses and he frequently enjoyed attending horse shows with his family.

He graduated in 1989 and then worked at Carroll George in Northwood, Iowa. He then worked at Fox River Mills from 1990 to 1998. In 1990, following completion of his CDL training, he started working for Young Trucking.

He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. He was presently living in Osage, Iowa. Todd enjoyed horses, horseback riding, playing pool, dancing and fishing, family and friends. He also enjoyed spending extra time with his special friend Shelly.

He is survived by his son, Dustin Berding; parents; paternal grandparents, Clayton and Helga Clausen; brothers, Marlin and fiance Renee Gardner, Stacyville; Mark (Tonya), Rochester; sisters, Tricia (Mark) Hauge, Osage, Shari (Bryan) Mork, Osage; nieces, Crystal and Jennifer Clausen and Lacey Hauge; nephews, Eric Clausen, John Clausen, Luke Hauge and Tyler Mork.

He was preceded in death by his sister Renee and uncle Allen Clausen.

Service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toeterville with the Rev. Daniel Wee officiating.

Interment: Toeterville Cemetery

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar.
