OSAGE, IOWA — Harland C. Hartwig, 81, of Stewartville, Minn., and formerly of Osage, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 State St. in Osage, with Pastor Lyle Fritsch of Stewartville, Minn., officiating. Interment will be in the Osage Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to services at the church.

Harland C. Hartwig
Funeral services for Harland C. Hartwig, age 81, of Stewartville, Minnesota, and formerly of Osage, Iowa, were held on Saturday, July 16, 2005, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 State St. in Osage, with Pastor Lyle Fritsch of Stewartville, Minnesota, officiating.
Interment was in the Osage Cemetery. Harland died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
This also gives his Harland was born in rural Osage, Iowa, on November 20, 1923, the son of C.R. and Josephine (Schumacher) Hartwig. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church rural Osage. He married Elaine L. Albrecht on December 19, 1943 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage. They moved away from Osage in 1976. Harland retired from White Motor in 1982. Harland enjoyed family trips and holidays, photography, camping, and cooking for family and friends.
Harland was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold Hartwig and Edward Hartwig; and one sister Evelyn Perrin.
He is survived by his wife Elaine of Stewartville, Minnesota; two sons, David (Barb) Hartwig of Rochester, Minnesota, and Mark (Mary) Hartwig of Elgin, Illinois; a daughter Robyn (Robert) Milliken of Rochester, Minn.; four grandchildren, Heath (Melissa) Hartwig of Rochester, Minn., Heather Hartwig of Rochester, Minn., Marilee (Paul) Tuite of Minneapolis, Minn., Geoff Reu of Chicago, Ill; a sister Ardella Hooker of Santa Ana, California; a stepbrother Oscar Erickson of Monona, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were made by the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.
