Marie Juenger Funeral April 4, 2002

Funeral services for Marie Juenger, 46, of St. Ansgar, who died Monday, April 1, 2002 near Carpenter, were held Thursday, April 4 at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating.

Marie was born on September 27, 1955 in Rochester, Minnesota to Virl and Betty (Heaps) Deal. She attended St. Ansgar High School and graduated La' James College.
She married Maurice Juenger on March 13, 1982 at the Methodist Church in St. Ansgar. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing, camping, playing cards and making bread. Her family and grandchildren were her biggest joy. Marie was a member of St. Ansgar Catholic Church.

Marie is survived by her husband Maurice; three sons, Donnie, Nathan, and Noah, St. Ansgar; two daughters, Ellena Rivera of Carpenter and Toleka Juenger of St. Ansgar; two grandchildren, Alex and Jacob Rivera; her father, Virl Deal, Grafton; two sisters, Lorraine Beland of St. Ansgar and Nancy Short of Stacyville; one brother, Virl Deal Jr. of Albert Lea, Minnesota.

Burial was in the Newburg Cemetery in Carpenter.

Funeral services were held Thursday at St. Ansgar Catholic Church in St. Ansgar, IA for Marie Juenger, 46, of St. Ansgar who died Monday, April 1, 2002 near Carpenter, Iowa. Rev. Joseph Schneider officiated with burial taking place at the Newburg Cemetery, Carpenter.

Marie was born September 27, 1955 in Rochester, MN to Virl and Betty (Heaps) Deal. She attended St. Ansgar High School and graduated from La James College. She married Maurice Juenger on March 13, 1982 at the Methodist Church in St. Ansgar. Marie enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing, camping, playing cards and making bread. Her family and grandchildren were her greatest joy. Marie was a member of the St. Ansgar Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death were her mother Betty, uncles Mel and Ross and her grandparents.

She is survived by her husband Maurice; three sons, Donnie, Nathan, and Noah all of St. Ansgar; two daughters, Ellena Rivers of Carpenter, Toleka Juenger of St. Ansgar; two grandchildren, Alex and Jacob Rivera; her father Virl Deal of Grafton; two sisters Lorraine Beland of St. Ansgar and Nancy Short of Stacyville; one brother Virl Deal, Jr. of Albert Lea, Minnesota.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

ST. ANSGAR - Marie Juenger, 46, of St. Ansgar, died Monday (April 1, 2002) near Carpenter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church in St. Ansgar with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial take place at the Newburg Cemetery in Carpenter.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S. School St. in St. Ansgar with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
