Graveside service services for Geraline "Gerry" Ferrell Dockstader, 83, who died December 23, 2001, will be held Friday, January 4, 2002 in Webster City.

Geraline was born in Webster City, August 1918 to Maye Ado Thompson and Walter Jason Roger Ferrell. She attended grade schools in Des Moines as well as Roosevelt High School. She met Doc W. B. Dockstader at Iowa State University, graduated in 1940, and married in 1941.

Geraline received many awards working with organizations and was president or committee chairperson of each. She was an avid bridge player since college.

Several moves ensued following "Doc" before he went to Germany during World War II. Many more moves occurred throughout 6the United States from Washington State through the Midwest, then 18 years in Washington, D.C., and more recently spending 21 years in San Diego.

Gerry is survived by her husband "Doc" Dockstader now living with daughter Carolyn Stewart-Prinzing in Frenchtown, Montana; son Steven W. Dockstader of Peach Tree City, Georgia; daughter Sue Higgins of Frederick, Maryland; sister Maxine F. Virden of Des Moines; grandchildren, Chad E. Stewart of Carisbad, New Mexico; Dirk O. Stewart of Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma; Bryon T. Dockstader of Portchester, New York; and Heather D. Dockstader in college in New York.

Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church.
