ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Mark Edward Jorgensen, 32, of St. Ansgar died on Wednesday, January 14, 2009.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church, 212 N. Main Street, St. Ansgar, with Pastor Robert Porisch, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Ansgar State Bank, or the family, to set up a trust fund for his daughters' college education.

Mark attended St. Ansgar Community Schools graduating in 1994. While in school, Mark enjoyed participating in football. For most of his adult life, Mark worked on the family farm and at the family business. His free time was spent with his friends and family snowmobiling, riding a motorcycle, camping, and shooting pool. He treasured all the time he was able to spend with his daughters.

Left to cherish his memory are his beautiful daughters, Jenna and Taylor Jorgensen, of Northwood; his parents, Dwight and Janet Jorgensen, of St. Ansgar; brothers, Dwight Jr. and special friend, Shallon, of St. Ansgar, Michael and wife Kim, of Faribault; sister, Jill and husband, Dale Goodale, of Osage; grandparents, Duane and Janice Jorgensen and Evangeline Landherr; nephews and nieces, Derek, Daria, Kyle, Kullen, Kiara, Kaleah, Lillie, Leah, Destinee, and Tyler; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wilmer Landherr.
