MCGILL

Mrs. Mary McGill was born October 21, 1846, in Antrem County, Ireland, and was a called from works to reward March 22, 1905, aged 59 years, 5 months and one day.

Mr. and Mrs. McGill were united in marriage in Janesville, Wisconsin in 1876. There came into their home to cheer and comfort them, five children; Mr. J. L. Covey of Floyd county, Iowa, Miss Cora who preceded her mother to the home beyond in 1889; Elmer E., Agnes M. and Mrs. Redella E. who with their father remain to perfect the preparations which are necessary to enable them to meet her in her heavenly home.

It is the mothers who faithfully discharge the maternal duties in the home that rocks the cradle of the nation. Mrs. McGill discharged so faithfully all the duties of the home that her husband and all her children rise and call her blessed.

Mrs. McGill became a follower of the lowly Nazarene when she was about twenty years old. She was a member of the Stillwater Congregational church. She loved her church and was interested in all lines of Christian work. Her Christian light was ever kept shining so brightly that all who knew her saw the verities of the Christian religion exemplified in her life.

The funeral was held in the Lincoln Free Baptist church, March 24, 1905, Rev. S. A. Martin preaching from Duet. 33:27, and John 14:3, assisted by Rev. T.O. McGinn. The interment took place in the Osage Cemetery.
