OSAGE, IOWA - Richard Clausen, age 69, of Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa, died on Friday, August 15, 2008, at home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 18, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, with the Rev. Lance Kittleson officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S. School St. St. Ansgar.

The Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 641-713-4920, is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Clausen was born on April 10, 1939, in Osage. After graduating from St. Ansgar High School in 1957, he married Marlene Jahl Emma Krumheuer in 1960.

They farmed near Stacyville from 1957 to 1978. He was active in his church, 4-H and Saddle Club for many years. His hobbies included horses, farming, enjoying home-cooked meals, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Helga; by his father Clayton; by his daughter, Renae; by son, Todd; and by brother, Allen.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene Clausen of Osage; son, Marlin (Renee') Clausen of Stacyville; a son, Mark (Tonya) Clausen of Rochester, Minnesota; a daughter, Tricia Clausen; Shari (Brian) Mork of Osage; his sister, Linda (Gregory) Munson of Rochester, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements, 641-713-4920.
