Clement John Falk, age 90, of Austin, Mower County, Minnesota, died on August 11, 2008 at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center.
Clem was born July 23, 1918 in Stacyville, Iowa to Frank and Anna (Gerber) Falk. He graduated from Visitation High School. As a young man he worked for Theobold's Implement, and learned to fix anything mechanical. He attended sheet metal school in Des Moines before going to San Diego with a carload of local buddies in 1941. In San Diego he worked at Consolidated Aircraft during WW II. There he met Cecelia Warzel and they were married in Franklin Park, Illinois, in August 1943. Clem was proud of the many warplane design innovations he contributed to the war effort.
Clem and Cele lived in Franklin Park following the war where he worked in sheet metal layout work until his retirement. He and Cele moved to Austin in the summer of 1991.
Clem was a member of St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Franklin Park, then St. Edward's Catholic Church in Austin. He boxed, and played all sports in his youth, and loved to dance. Clem enjoyed music, crossword puzzles, and working with his hands. He gave great hugs and loved to tease those that he loved. He was proud of his children and would take every opportunity to share this with those close to him.
