Ellena Ranae Young, age 33, of Austin, Mower county, Minnesota, died on May 12, 2008 at her home.

Ellena was born on January 12, 1975 to Donald and Marie (Deal) Cook in Italy. Ellena moved with her family to Iowa, where she graduated in 1993 from St. Ansgar High School, St. Ansgar, Mitchell county, Iowa. She joined the Army, stationed in South Carolina, Panama and Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

After her discharge in 1995, Ellena remained at Fort Campbell for a year before returning to Iowa, making her home in Toeterville. In 2000 she moved to Austin where she was employed by Cedar Valley Services. She was a member of Free Lutheran Church in London.

She was married to Jarrod David Young on June 18, 2004 in Austin.

Survivors include her husband, Jarrod Young, Austin; two sons, Alexander Rivera and Jacob Rivera; daughter, Autumn Young, all of Austin; siblings, Donnie (Brandy) Juenger, Woden, Iowa, Toleka, Nathan and Noah Juenger, all of Carpenter, Iowa; grandfather, Virl (Bonnie) Deal, Grafton, Iowa; stepfather, Maurice Juenger, St. Ansgar, Iowa; father, Don (Susan) Cook, Westminster, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Cook, and grandmother, Betty Deal.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2008 at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with the Reverend Victor Young officiating. Military honors by American Legion Post 91 and VFW Post 1216.
