Dorothy Fleenor, age 92, of Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa, died on Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 5, 2008, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage with Rev. Dennis Hanson and Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery.

Dorothy was born May 1, 1916, at Osage, the daughter of Fred and Ida (Hartwig) Havig. She was educated in Osage schools. On April 24, 1944, she married Roy Fleenor in Osage. They farmed near Orchard and later moved to a farm northeast of Osage. Following Roy's death in 1991, Dorothy moved to Osage, and moved to the Faith Home in 1998.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and was a member of a birthday club. Dorothy enjoyed flowers, gardening, and caring for her family.

Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Linda (Gerald) Williams of Lake of the Ozark, Missouri, Elizabeth (Darryl) Landas of Decorah, Kimberley (Mark) Weis of Stacyville; two sons, Robert (Diane) of Osage, Joel (Diana) of Mason City; eight grandchildren, Jeff (Dana) Williams, Melissa (Mike) Schwenker, and Tom (Sherrie) Williams, Chad (Sarah) Landas, Chelsea and Brandi Weis, Jeremy and Justin Fleenor; nine great-grandchildren, Kelli and Mason Williams, Abby, Carter, and Hadley Williams, Christian, Sydney, Amelia, and Caden Schwenker; three sisters, Leona Richards of Osage, June Jahnel of New Haven, and Fern (Jim) Hughes of Riceville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; a granddaughter, Michelle Landas; an infant brother, Arnold; three brothers, Alton, Melbourne and Everett Havig; and a sister, Grace Havig.
