Funeral services for George R. Rosenberg, 90, of St. Ansgar, who died August 30 at the Good Samaritan Center here, were held at St. John's Lutheran Church (Rock Township) near St. Ansgar with Rose Marie Lewis and Clint Pickett, Intern Pastors, officiating on Monday, September 2.
George R. Rosenberg was born August 28, 1901 in Newburg Township, Mitchell County, to Edmund and Hattie (Priem) Rosenberg. He was baptized September 22, 1901 and confirmed April 16, 1916 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Township.
He was engaged in farming until 1955 after which he drove school bus, delivered milk and worked at the Standard Station in St. Ansgar.
George is survived by two sons, Raymond of Grafton and Russell of St. Ansgar; three sisters, Josephine Ruechel of St. Ansgar; Alice Dieterichs of Osage; and Rosalyn Trudeau of Mason City; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery southwest of St. Ansgar.
