Funeral services for Leland E. Brown, age 92, of Stacyville, Iowa, and formerly of St. Ansgar, Iowa, were held on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar, with Pastor Byron Northwick officiating. Burial was in the St. Ansgar City Cemetery.

Leland died on Tuesday, August 14, 2007.

Leland was born on August 1, 1915, near Northwood, [Worth county] Iowa, the son of Walter and Hattie (Betow) Brown. He married Leynette Dutte on June 6, 1943.

Leland is survived by his wife, Leynette Brown of Stacyville.
