Mrs. Mary Miller a
Former Osage Girl
Buried Here Monday

Mrs. Mary Elzira Miller, wife of J. W. Miller, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Bush, passed away at their summer home on West Okiboji Lake, at 10 p.m., Friday June 22, 1923, at the age of 35 years, and nine months, following a decline in health of several months.

About a month ago Mr. Miller took her to the lakes, hoping the outdoor life would be of benefit to her, but she gradually failed. Her mother and father were with her at the end, which seemed to gratify her last week. She was brought to Osage for burial and laid to rest in the family lot.

Mary Elvira Bush was born on a farm near Osage on September 24, 1887. On Aug. 9, 1915 she was married to J. W. Miller, of Mason City, Iowa, where they have since made their home spending the summers months at Sprit and Okiboji Lakes. Mary was a beautiful, loving companion to her husband, always ready with a song and a laugh. "To know her was to love her." She leaves to mourn her loss, her father, mother, husband and three stepchildren, who mourn for her as they would for an own mother, besides other relatives and scores of friends.

Relatives from away were: Mrs. C. H. Lohr, Estillene S.D.; Mrs. Jospeh Purcell, Kampkeska, S.D.; Mrs. Scott Colburn, Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Carl Hills, Mason City, Iowa.
