Elizabeth Mueller

Elizabeth Mueller died May 25, 1992 at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home.

She was born September 26, 1895 to John and Sarah (Stieger) Thome at Meyer, Iowa. She attended the Meyer School. On January 26, 1916 she was married to John Mueller in the Sacred Heart Church, Meyer.

They lived and farmed near Meyer until moving to Stacyville in 1965. Mr. Mueller died 21 year before his wife, May 25, 1971.

Lizzie was fond of playing cards, crocheting many gifts and kept her own genealogy account of her family up to date. Family events were important to her. She attended the April 27 celebration of Evelyn and Urban Brumm and the wedding May 2 of Delores Hemann and Kevin Koster.

She is survived by her daughters, Cyrilla Rockers, Austin MN; Evelyn and Urban Brumm, Stacyville; Maxine Halbach, Austin; Irene and Herbert Hemann, Stacyville; Anita and Charles Adams, Stacyville; Mary and Jerome Mullenbach, Adams MN; sons Emil and Margaret Mueller, Osage; Elmer and Mary Mueller, Austin; Marvin Mueller, Delphin and Mary Ann Mueller, Austin; Laverne and Gloria Mueller, Stacyville; 75 grandchildren, 100 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one sister Florentine Eisterhold, Austin MN; two brothers, Roman Thome, Osage and Arnold Thome, St. Peter MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one son, fve granchildren, three great grandchildren, and two sons-in-law.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 29, 19932 at 11:00 a.m. at the Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville with burial in the Visitation Cemetery. Rev. Paul Otting officiating.
