Ralph J. Wolf (1915-1993)

Ralph J. Wolf, 77, of 361 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City, IA, died Monday, March 1, 1993 at St. Joseph-Mercy Hospital, Mason City.

Mr. Wolf was born May 8, 1915 at Stacyville IA, the son of Joseph and Margaret Thome Wolf. He married Albina A. Bastyr on August 31, 1936 at Austin Minnesota

He attended school at Stacyville, graduating from Visitation High School. Following his schooling, Mr. Wolf worked at Hormel Co. in Austin, Minn. for several years. Later, he joined his father in business in Stacyville, where he was a n agent for Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company, and did tax preparation work and accounting for small businesses.

In 1970 the Wolfs moved to Florida where Ralph worked various accounting jobs until retiring in 1982. In 1986 they returned to Mason City.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Catholic Order of Foresters.

He is survived by his wife, Albina Wolf, Mason City; two daughters, Mary Christofersen, Gainsville, Florida; Judith Ramker, Conyers, Georgia; five sons Tome Wolf, Sheffield, Iowa; Paul Wolf, Gainsville, Florida; Ralph A. Wolf, Mason City, Iowa; Richard Wolf, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Joseph Wolf, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; one sister, Stella Adams, Des Moines, Iowa; one brother, Joseph Wolf, Kansas City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two brothers.

A funeral Mass was held at 12 noon on Thursday, March 4, 1993 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mason City with Rev. Carol A. Ries, officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, at a later date.

Memorials may be given to Food for the Poor, Inc., 55 S.W. 12 Ave., Bldg. 4, Deerfield Beach FL 33442.

Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel of Mason City was I n charge of arrangements.
