Stock.

The New Messenger, of Marshall, Minn. chronicles the death of Chas. G. Stock, at that place, December 7, after a week's illness with pneumonia-aged 30 years and 2 months. Mr. Stock who has been a resident of Marshall for three years past, was born at Mitchell in this county.

He was a young man who led an exemplary Christian life; possessed of with genial, wholesome nature he easily won the friendship and esteem of his associates. His home had always been in Mitchell, Iowa, until he entered the employ of the Northwestern elevator company, when for a year he was stationed in Dakota, and then at Lynd, Minn., where he was agent for the company for two years, removing to Marshall about three years ago and since that time managing the company's elevator there. About eight years ago he united with the Baptist church at his home, but since united with the Methodist church, and has been a devoted adherent to the church and earnest in its work and that of the church societies.

Less than two years ago Mr. Stock was married in June, 1897, to Miss Ora Loomis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Loomis, and they have a baby girl about six months old. The funeral occurred at the M.E. church in Marshall last Saturday. His aged father and mother went to Marshall to bury their son, and with them went the only daughter left them, Mrs. Wm. G. Smith, who was accompanied by her husband and two children.
