At County HomeTom Walsh, 59,who has been a familar figure on Osage streets for many years, died at the county home Sunday, after a long illness from cancer of the throat.
"Tommie" as he was known spent several weeks at the University hospital, where an operation was performed, and he was about as usual for a time after his return to Osage. He commenced to fail again a couple of months ago.
Deceased was born at Plainfield, N. J., in 1882, and came to Osage as a young boy. His father was killed when he was 4 years old in a railroad accident.
His mother, Mrs. Annie Walsh, was buried in the Sacred Heart cemetery, Osage, when Tom was 19 years of age. Surviving are two sisters and a brother, the addresses of whom are not known here.
Funeral service was held at the Sacred Heart church Monday at 9:00 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Father Baxter, and burial was made beside deceased's mother in the Sacred Heart cemetery.
