Taken by deathFuneral services were Monday afternoon for Louis Stroberg, 65, who died March 11, at St. Olaf hospital in Austin. Cause of his death was a stroke.
The Rev. Paul Metzger, Rock Creek pastor, was in charge of the rites at Our Savior's Lutheran church and burial was in the Osage cemetery.
C. R. Champion and Sons made the arrangements.
Louis Andres Stroberg, was born April 9, 1909, in
DeKalb, Illinois, the son of Gustav and Ida Rice Stroberg. As a child he accompanied his parents to Wright county, Iowa, and to Mitchell county in 1919.Winona Maxine Adams and Mr. Stroberg were united in marriage April 2, 1962. They farmed southwest of Osage, and was an employee of Fox River Mills the past five years, until his retirement in 1976.
Surviving are his wife, Winona; seven daughters, Evelyn and Carol at home, Mrs. Gary Grandbois (Sandra) of San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. James Wilkenson (Darlene) of Austin, Ida of Iowa City, Nancy and Christine of Ames; three sons, Louis Jr., David and Arnold of Osage; four grandchildren; two brothers, Morris (Slim) of Osage, Eldon, of Washington, D. C., and a half brother, Alfred Stroberg of New York City.
Preceding him in death were two daughters, Donna and Elaine, his parents and one sister, Evelyn.
