Dianne Charlene Trusty, age 56, of Osage, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at her home in Osage. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Dianne was born November 22, 1950. She came to the home of Charles W. and Harriet (Troge) Trusty in February of 1951. Dianne was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage. She attended schools in Osage and graduated from NIACC. Dianne was employed as an aide at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage until illness forced her to retire.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles; and a son, Anthony.

Dianne is survived by her mother, Harriet Trusty of Osage; a son, Todd (Tatiana) Schotanus and children Josiah and Dianna of California; and a daughter, Carrie (Cory) Hinders and children Brett, Arianna, and Trinity of Osage.

Arrangements are by the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage (641)732-3706.

OSAGE - Authorities have determined the identity and cause of death of a woman found dead Thursday in her home.

Dianne Trusty, 56, of 310 Vine St., died of smoke inhalation, according to the Osage Police Department. A kerosene lamp was apparently knocked over accidentally, starting a fire, police said.

An autopsy determined the cause of death.

The State Fire Marshal's Office investigated the incident along with the Osage police and fire departments.

Trusty was discovered after a worker from Mitchell County Home Health, who was making a call at the house, discovered evidence of a fire. That person contacted emergency responders.

The worker reported seeing soot and ashes on the windows and doors at the home.

A native of Osage, Trusty had worked at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage until a few years ago. Health issues forced her retirement.
