A Mass of Christian Burial for Lawrence Hultman, age 88, of Osage, Iowa, will be held on Friday, November 10, 2006, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Osage.
Lawrence died Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.
Lawrence was born March 15, 1918, in Mitchell County, Iowa, the son of Albert and Hazel (Voaklander) Hultman. He graduated from Little Cedar High School in 1936. On September 16, 1939, Lawrence married Lucille Mandler in Osage. He was a self-employed truck driver and farmed near Little Cedar until retiring and moving to Osage in 1982. Lawrence was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a history buff.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Lorraine Penney.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Lucille Hultman of Osage;a daughter, Janice (Gary) Mauer of Oskaloosa; a son, Roger (Mary) Hultman of Austin, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
