AUSTIN, MINNESOTA -- The funeral for Edna Pearl Brandt will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Austin, with the Rev. William Natzke officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Austin.

Mrs. Brandt, 97, of Austin, a homemaker, died Tuesday (May 8, 2001) at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center in Austin.

Edna Pearl Priem was born Sept. 12, 1903, in Mitchell County, Iowa. She married Michael Brandt in February 1921 in St. Ansgar, Iowa, and they made their home in Austin.

Survivors include a son, Glenn (Loriene) of Austin; a daughter, Virginia (Robert) Myhre of Austin; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her twin sister, Esther Rosenberg of St. Ansgar. She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters, five brothers and a grandson.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and an hour before the service Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church in Austin.

Edna Pearl Brandt, 97, of Austin, died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center.

She was born Sept. 12, 1903, in Mitchell County, Iowa, to Ferdinand and Louise (Gerlach) Priem. She married Michael Brandt at St. Ansgar, Iowa, in February 1921. Edna was a lifelong Austin area resident and a mother and housekeeper.

Survivors include a son, Glenn (Loriene) Brandt of Austin; daughter, Virginia (Robert) Myhre of Austin; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Esther Rosenberg of St. Ansgar, Iowa; and many relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, five brothers and one grandson.

Service: 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2001, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Austin with the Rev. William Natzke officiating.

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Worlein Funeral Home, Austin, and at the church one hour before the service on Friday.

Interment: Grandview Cemetery.

Memorials: St. John's Lutheran Church in Austin.
