Funeral services for Mrs. Herbert Rosenberg, 78, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, who died July 1, 1983 at the North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa, were held on July 3, 1983 at First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Charles Bunk of Toeterville officiating.
Louise Olga (Rasmussen) Rosenberg was born on February 1, 1905, the daughter of Peter and Ida (White) Rasmussen in Deer Creek township, Worth county, Iowa.
She married Herbert Rosenberg on April 25, 1925. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar, in 1925. One daughter was born to them. She remained active in church and community affairs, serving for a time as church custodian. She and her husband made their home in St. Ansgar until the time of her death. She was known for her kindness to all in the St. Ansgar community.
Mrs. Rosenberg is survived by her husband, Herbert; by her daughter, Dorothy Elaine Matter of Austin, Minnesota; by three grandchildren: Dennis Matter of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Lori Conner of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and ROck Matter of Austin, Minnesota; by five sisters: Mrs. Mary Mosher of Rockford, Annie Larsen of St. Ansgar, Katie Grosland of Forest City, Mrs. Emma Skjeveland of St. Ansgar, and Ida Kerckhove of St. Ansgar; by two brothers: Arthur Rasmussen of Northwood, and John Rasmussen of St. Ansgar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by three sisters, Lillie, Florence and Esther; by two brothers, Louis and Peter; by one grandson, Stephen Matter.
Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Bunk in charge of committal services.
