FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FRIDAY FOR MRS. IRENE STAHL

Funeral services were held last Friday at Immanuel's Lutheran church for Mrs. Irene Stahl, the Rev. Paul Brammer officiating.

Mrs. Irene Martha Stahl nee Ruehlow was born April 28, 1913, in Union; was baptized June 1, 1913 and confirmed June 12, 1927, in St. Peter's church at Toeterville, Iowa.

Irene graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1931 and after attending a business college at Minneapolis, was employed at Mason City and Freeport, Illinois.

Though ailing for some time, she came to St. Ansgar several weeks ago for the celebration of her parents' wedding anniversary, and from that time she was confined to her bed. Last Friday she was taken to the hospital at Austin, MN where she passed away last Tuesday evening at 10:20.

She attained the age of 26 years, 4 months and 19 days. She is survived by her husband, an infant daughter, her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

NOTE: I believe she actually lived to be 26 yrs,
5 mon. and 19 days, which would mean she died on "Tuesday" October 17, 1939. Or, "Last Tuesday" relative to the newspaper publication date.

If she lived to be 26-4-19, she would have died on Saturday the 16th of September. That would not be "last Tuesday".
