MRS. ELLINGSON DIES TUESDAY - FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED AT CHURCH AND HOME FRIDAY
Mrs. Carrie Ellingson, 79, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. Edward Miller, Tuesday afternoon, suffering an illness of several weeks following a fall which broke her hip. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Friday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock and at 1:30 at the First Lutheran church.
Mrs. Ellingson received a broken hip in a fall on Nov. 15th, and since that time had been confined to her bed. Her heart gradually weakened and resulted in her death at 1:50 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon. Interment will be made in the First Lutheran cemetery.
Her nephews: Melvin, Selmer, Ingvald, Arthur, and Lawrence Sponheim and Elmer Eidness will serve as pall bearers.
Carrie Oleson, the daughter of Ole Oleson and Synnva Opedahl Oleson, was born in Norway, September 25, 1853. She came to America when she was 21 years of age and lived two years in Wisconsin before coming to Mitchell county, Iowa, where she has since resided. On January 10,1882, she was married to Sam Ellingson, whom she knew in Norway. They were married at Osage, Iowa.
To this union four children were born: Mrs. C. Edward Miller, at whose home she had been living; Mrs. Fred Feldt, who lives south of St. Ansgar; Martin and Andrew Ellingson of Osage, Iowa.
She is survived by a brother: M.O. Sponheim, of Rockford and three half-brothers: E. A. Sponheim, St. Ansgar; Armund Sponheim, Columbus, North Dakota; and Harry Sponheim, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Her husband preceded her in death.
