LaVonne "Bonnie" Mayer, age 81, passed away on April 7, 2006 in her home in Riceville, Iowa, surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer.

A Mass of Resurrection was held Tuesday April 11, 2006, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville, Iowa with Rev. Ray E. Atwood officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna (Jerry) Adams, Sue (Jerry) Lee, Linda (Chuck) Weida, Cheryl (Alvin Knode) Julius, Margaret (Allen) McKenna, Rick (Janine) Mayer, & Mike (Deb) Mayer; 18 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
