RICEVILLE — Robert Wagner, 82, of Riceville, died Friday (March 17, 2006) at the Riceville Community Rest Home in Riceville.

A Mass of the resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville with the Rev. Ray E. Atwood officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Riceville.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville with a

5 p.m. rosary by the Knights of Columbus and a 7 p.m. Scripture service.

A Mass of the Resurrection for Robert Wagner, age 82, of Riceville, Iowa, was held on Monday March 20, 2006 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville, Iowa with the Rev. Ray E. Atwood officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Riceville. Robert passed away at the Riceville Community Rest Home in Riceville on Friday, March 17, 2006.

Robert Francis Wagner was born on September 24, 1923 in Riceville, on the family farm, to Stephen and Ellen Fox Wagner.

He was united in marriage to Eugenia Klaes on November 17, 1945 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Haven, Iowa. Robert was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville, he was an Eucharistic minister, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He farmed until September of 1980, was a school bus driver, and he worked at Lenth Feed until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Leonard Wagner, and one sister Agnes Anderson.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Eugenia of Riceville; two sons, Alan of Fennimore, Wisc., and Darrell and his wife Joyce of Council Bluffs; one daughter Janice and her husband Eldon Scott of Forest City; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one brother Glenn Wagner and his wife Grace of Osage, one sister Gladys Jacobus of Riceville, a brother-in-law Edmund Anderson of Riceville, and a sister-in-law Donna Wagner of West Des Moines.

Memorials may be directed to the Riceville Ambulance in memory of Bob.
