Funeral services for Elizabeth Rasmus, 55, of Clear Lake, Iowa, were held Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 833 Ash St., Osage, Iowa, with the Rev. Dennis Hanson and Rev. Roy Ott officiating.

Inurnment was at the Osage Cemetery. Elizabeth passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006 at North Iowa Hospice in Mason City after a battle with cancer.

Elizabeth was born Feb 19, 1951 in Osage, the daughter of Alfred and Elfriede (Cechak) Danzow. Elizabeth graduated from Osage High School in 1969 and continued her education at La James School of Cosmetology, She was employed by Hair Designer at Clear Lake.

Elizabeth married Ken Rasmus in 1971 and to the union came one son Shad. Elizabeth enjoyed knitting, sewing and counted cross stitch. Lizz made many beautiful wall hanging and afghans over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Elfriede Danzow.

Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her son Shad Rasmus of Clear Lake, Iowa; one brother, Paul and wife Nancy Danzow of Osage; sister, Renate and husband Fred Van Valkenburg of Tennesse; an Aunt, Elizabeth Cummings of Osage, and good friends, Kermit and Judy Studer of Clear Lake, Iowa.
