GRAFTON, IOWA — Services for Emil Borchardt, 82, who died Tuesday at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital at Osage, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church east of Grafton.
Burial will be in the Rock Township Cemetery with the Champion Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors are his widow, Irene; one daughter, Mrs. Walter Ward of Plymouth; a son, Reuben, also of Plymouth; and a brother, Carl Borchardt of Osage.

#2:Emil Borchardt, 82 of Grafton Died
Funeral services were held Friday at St. John's Lutheran church east of Grafton for Emil Borchardt, 82, of that area who died Oct. 15 (1968) at Mitchell County Memorial hospital in Osage. His death was caused by a heart attack which he suffered at home the same day.
The Rev. Elmer Jacobs church pastor, was in charge of the rites, and burial was in the Rock township cemetery.
Emil Wilhelm Borchardt was born March 27, 1886, in Worth county, the son of August and Augusta Borchardt. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran church.
Mr. Borchardt and Clara Wilde were united in marriage Nov. 30, 1922. They farmed near Plymouth and retired to Grafton in 1957.
Surviving are his wife Clara, one daughter, Mrs. Walter Ward (Irene) of Plymouth, one son Reuben Borchardt of Plymouth, seven grandchildren; one brother, Carl Borchardt of Osage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, one brothers and one grandson.
