The sad intelligence reached this town Monday afternoon that Mr. Joshua McAllister had dropped dead at 1 o'clock that afternoon at his home near Plymouth. The deceased was for many years a resident of this town and township and had a host of warm personal friends who will be pained to learn of his sudden death.

We have been unable to learn any further particulars up to the hour of going to press.

Mr. McAllister, whose sudden death we noted last week, was buried Wednesday.

The Northwood 'Beacon' of last week contained the following brief particulars of the death of Mr. McAlister: "Joshua McAllister, of Plymouth, died very suddenly last Monday, of heart disease. On his return from the school election he ate his dinner and while sitting in a chair soon after, exclaimed "It is hard to work to-day," and almost immediately expired. Mr. McAllister was about 63 years old.
