TESCH, WALK, SMESRUD, NACK

Last rites were held Monday at Trinity Lutheran church in Mason City for a native Mitchell countian, Julius Tesch, 69, who died February 16, at his Mason City Home. Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa.

Julius H. Tesch was born March 23, 1904 in Rock township, Mitchell county, the son of Henry J. and Augusta Walk Tesch. He was graduated from Osage high school and Iowa State Teachers college, now the University of Northern Iowa. He was drivers training instructor in various schools and retired four years ago from that post with the schools in Mason City.

He was married to H. Thelma Smesrud of St. Ansgar.

She survives as do one sister, Mrs. Carl Nack (Esther) of Osage; eight brothers, Otto and Lawrence of St. Ansgar, Sig, Arthur and Edwin of Osage, Clarence of ElReno, Okla, Reuben of Muscatine and the Rev. Harold Tesch of Victoria, Tex.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
