Merrill Camp Moe was born in St. Ansgar, Iowa February 24, 1808.

He attended the public schools and graduated from the High School in the class of 1915, since which time he has resided in this community.

For several hears he has been an efficient member of the St. Ansgar Band, and a member of the St. Ansgar Sunday School during his boyhood days.

He was quiet and unassuming generally speaking, yet jovial among those whom he knew most intimately.

His death from the Spanish Influenza occurred at Edinburg, Texas, October 16, 1918.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. Wm. Galbreth, pastor of the St. Ansgar Methodist Episcopal Church were held October 22, from the home of his aunt, Miss Annie Moe with whom he has made his home for some time.

The choir of the church rendered three choir numbers.

The immediate family survivors are his father, mother, and two brothers, Alonso and Lavern. Alonzo being in the U.S. Army service at Camp Gordon, Georgia.

The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the stricken family.

Thee body was laid to rest in the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa.
