GLENN O. TENOLD
Sept. 19, 1905 – Feb. 7, 1983

Glenn O. Tenold, owner of Glenn O. Tenold Insurance Agency in Northwood, died Monday (Feb. 7, 1983) at a Mason City hospital. He was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church, Northwood, IA., with the Rev. Allen Hermeier officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Rest Cemetery here.

Visitation is after 2 p.m. Today at Connor Colonial Chapel, Northwood. The family requests memorials be given to the First Lutheran Church in Northwood.

Mr. Tenold was born Sept. 19, 1905 in Northwood to Ole and Randine Tenold. He graduated from Luther College, Decorah, in 1928, and began Tenold Insurance Agency in Northwood in 1933. In 1935, he took over Worth County Mutual Insurance.

He married Mabel Huso on Oct. 10, 1937 in Northwood, and they lived their entire married life here.

At the time of his death, Mr. Tenold was president of Worth Mutual Insurance Association and owner of Glenn O. Tenold Insurance. He was a member of the board of dirctors of Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company from 1950-1977, serving as chairman from 1965-1977. He was also a member of the First Lutheran Church, Northwood.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel, Northwood; three daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Suzanne) Olson and Mrs. Gene (Kathryn) Hagen, both of Northwood, and Mrs. A. W. (Sally) Anderson, Minneapolis, Minn.; a son, John, Northwood; two sisters, Mrs. E.A. (Adeline) Henderson and Stella Tenold, both of Sun City Ariz; a brother, Alvin, Spicer, Minn.. and seven grandchildren.
