Died at Waterloo.
The aged pioneers in Decorah will be interested in the following clipping from the Waterloo Reporter. Deceased was the widow of Andrew Bailey:—
Mrs. Anna Butler Bailey, mother of Mrs. Henry Kelley, died at the home of her daughter in this city last Thursday afternoon, of an acute attack of lagrippe, aged 79 years, 7 months and 7 days. Mrs. Bailey was not much acquainted in our city, but those who had met the gentle, sweet-faced lady had admired her greatly, and in her death feel a personal affliction. Short services were held at the Kelly' residence Saturday morning, Rev. W. F. Pitner officiating, and the remains were taken to Osage for interment.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her gravestone with the name Anna Butler and that she was born July 13, 1816 and died Feb. 20, 1896. She is buried in the Osage Cemetery. It also shows her daughter’s name spelled Kelly.
