Alan "Bubba" Shane

October 30, 1961 - March 6, 2019

Alan “Bubba” Shane, age 57 of Riceville, Iowa, died at his home on March 6, 2019.

Alan was born October 30, 1961 in Osage, Iowa, to Robert Gene and Mary Ann (Mayer) Shane. He married Leesa Wyatt on September 15, 1979 in Osage, five children were born to this union, they later divorced. Bubba worked as a woodworker and a welder. He enjoyed fishing, usually on the Wapsi or the Mississippi, he loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and woodworking. Most of all he enjoyed playing cards with his family. Bubba was a very giving, generous person with a heart of gold.

Bubba is survived by four children: Adam (Megan) Shane of Rochester, Jacob (Danielle) Shane, of Osage, Ashley (Mitch) Kramer of Osage and Jonathon (Ashley) Shane, of Osage; seven grandchildren: Jayda, Makayla, Macy, Maxson, Aceson, Holden and Jameson; his mother, Mary Shane of Riceville and three siblings: Gina (Russel) Taylor of Riceville, Deann Shane of Riceville and Dan (Patti) Shane of McIntire, IA.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Shane, a brother, James Shane and a son, James Shane.
