Eileen Kleckner, age 88, of Osage, died Monday, October 1, 2018, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.
Cremation has taken place.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Osage with Father Raymond Burkle presiding and Deacon Ken Kleckner assisting. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with a vigil service at 5:30 p.m.
Eileen was born March 31, 1930, the daughter of Joe and Mabel (Weinberger) Rogers. She was the 5th of 12 children. Eileen attended country grade school and graduated from Osage Community High School.
On October 13, 1948, Eileen married Donald J. Kleckner in Osage. They were the parents of five children, Connie, Ken, Pat. Mike and Terry. Eileen retired from Mitchell County Regional Health Center. Eileen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her hobbies included sewing, upholstering, rug hooking, baking and playing cards.
Her door was always open to her many friends who enjoyed visiting with her over a cup of coffee and dessert.
Eileen is survived by her children, Connie (Dana) Benedict of Harpers Ferry, Ken (Teri) Kleckner of Placentia, California, Pat (Joseph) Huffman of Osage and Michael Kleckner of Shell Rock; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Marie Boerjan, Lorraine (Joe) Prokopec, Marilyn (Bob) Doyle and Kathy (Jim) Prokopec; one brother, Galen; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald in January 1995; son, Terry in 1981; five brothers; one sister; seven sisters-in-law; and five brothers-in-law.
