De Lone Whitesides
De Lone Whitesides, age 92, of Mitchell died Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell, with Pastor Roy Ott, officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. A luncheon will follow the Memorial service at The Old County Seat Bar and Grill in Mitchell.
De Lone was born September 27, 1926, in Osage the daughter of Victor and Glenda (Lamm) Ellingson. She graduated from St. Ansgar High School. De Lone married Charles Whitesides in 1976. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell. De Lone enjoyed collecting coins, traveling and camping. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding. Family was very important to De Lone.
De Lone is survived by her daughter, Vickie Ricketts of Mitchell; grandchildren, Ruth Crowe of Dixon, Illinois and Jeff Olsen of Sterling, Illinois; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles in 2012.
