Frederick R. Kramer passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018, at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home, Stacyville, Iowa.

Funeral Mass will be Thursday, September 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond Burkle and Msgr. John Hemann. Visitation will be the night before from 4:30 till 7:00 with a Rosary at 4:15 at Visitation Catholic Church. Burial will be at Visitation Cemetery.

Frederick R. Kramer was born on a farm in rural Meyer, Iowa, on December 25, 1930, to Lorenz and Frances Kramer, the seventh of eleven children. He was educated in Meyer and Stacyville, a graduate of Visitation High School in 1948.

Fritz married Verena Elizabeth Halfman on April 4, 1959 in Stacyville. To this union, six children were born. They worked and raised their family in Stacyville. Fritz was a mechanic for many years at Adams Motor Company. In later years he worked at Benttine Repair in Osage. He was a 65 year member of the American Legion, Hale Penney Fuller Post #569 in Stacyville.

Fritz is well known for his quick wit, his love of cars, and playing cards, especially 500. He also loved baseball, and after retirement, became an avid golfer.

Fritz was preceded in death by his: parents; daughter, Barbara Ann Kramer in 1986; brothers, sisters and brother and sister-in-laws, Lucy Kramer, Elmo (Eleanor) Kramer, Betty Norgaard, Richard (Lola) Kramer, Germaine Collette, Dennis (Marilyn) Kramer, Leonard (Pat) Kramer, Lorraine Kramer, Quentin Kramer.

He is survived by his: wife, Verena of Stacyville; children, Janet (Steve) Kleckner of Zimmerman, MN, Mark (Lori) Kramer of McIntire, Dan (Barb) Kramer of Stacyville, Diane (Dean) Mayer of St. Ansgar, Jim (Deb) Kramer of St. Ansgar; grandchildren, Ryan (fiance' Lindsey) Kramer, Mitchell (Ashley) Kramer, Cody and Gabriel Kramer, Elizabeth Mayer, Evan (Kelly) Mayer, Ethan Mayer, Jared, Tara and Collin Kramer; great-granddaughters, Macy and Avae Kramer; brother, Kenneth Kramer of Adams, MN; sister, Loreen (Dick) King of Rose Creeek, MN; brother-in-laws, Norm Norgaard of Neevus, MN, Fred Halfman of Stacyville; sister-in-law Sylvia Brown of Riverside, CA; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
