NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Cory W. Robinson, 55, of Wasilla, Alaska, and formerly of Nora Springs, died Wednesday August 1, 2018 at his home in Alaska.
A viewing was held in Wasilla at the Heritage Chapel on Sunday (August 5, 2018). Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday (August 8, 2018) at the Park Cemetery, Nora Springs, with the Rev. Wendy Johannesen officiating.
Cory William Robinson was born on March 8, 1963 in Osage, Iowa, the son of Donald and Diane (Kuhlemeier) Robinson. He moved to Alaska with his parents and brother in 1963. He attended Iowa State University. Cory worked at Robinson Millwork, Inc. with his brother for most of his adult life, a business that was started by their father in 1978.
He enjoyed playing darts and softball, bowling, hunting and fishing, and riding snow machines. Cory was a smart man with a kind heart. His quick wit always left family and friends with a smile.
Cory is survived by his mother, Diane (John) Conley; wife, Bethany Smith; daughter, Kirsten (Kenneth) Kleewein; son, Heywood Robinson; step daughter, Myla Burton; step son, Dallas Smith; grandchildren, Kenneth and Bellamy Kleewein; brother, David (Sherry) Robinson; and step brothers, Michael (Amanda) Conley, John (Mandi) Conley, and Guy (Missy) Conley; as well as his extended family and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Robinson; his uncle, Duane Robinson; and his grandparents.
Cory will be greatly missed by many.
