Calvin Franklin Linkenmeyer, age 93 of Riceville, Iowa, passed away at the Riceville Family Care & Therapy Center on October 17, 2017.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville with Rev. Mark Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville with Military Honors conducted by the Roy Gue Post 244 American Legion. Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville on Friday during the hours of 4-7 P.M. A scripture service will be held Friday evening at 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Obituary for Calvin F. Linkenmeyer

Calvin Franklin Linkenmeyer, age 93 of Riceville, Iowa passed away at the Riceville Family Care & Therapy Center on October 17, 2017.

Calvin was born on December 4, 1923 in Riceville, IA to Frank and Esther (Boehmer) Linkenmeyer. He attended Riceville schools and graduated from Riceville High School in 1941. Calvin served his country in The United States Air Force. On June 8, 1955 he was united in marriage to Marcella Keniry at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville. Calvin’s love for his family, farming, working with his cattle was evident to anyone who knew him.

Surviving Calvin is his wife Marcella of Riceville, a son Trent of Riceville, two daughters, Jane Throckmorton of Riceville and Janet Linkenmeyer of Osage. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Kenneth, a sister Kathleen Blaser and a great grandson Jewel Losee.
