Marvel C. Schmidt, 66, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Friday, October 7, 1994, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, of complications of cancer.
She was born February 28, 1928, in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of George K. and Lucy V. Naber Crowley. She married Lewis F. Schmidt October 15, 1949, in Nashua, Iowa.
Mrs. Schmidt had been a maintenance bookkeeper at Iowa Public Service.
Survived by her husband; two daughters, Sherri Gallmeyer and Joni Steen, both of Waterloo; a son, Lance of Waterloo; her mother, of Waterloo; three grandchildren; two brothers, Keith Crowley of La Porte City and Malvern Crowley of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and two sisters, Bonnie Wilberding of Ionia and Mavorette Dettmer of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Services will be Monday, October 10, 1994, at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery; friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and for an hour before services on Monday.
Memorials: may be directed to the family.
