Sharon Marie (Labert-Nuehring) Mihm, age 58, of Wellsville, Kansas, and formerly of Mason City, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at Eden Presbyterian Church, 3105 Glass Avenue, rural Rudd, with Pastor Cathy Belles and Pastor Kathy Symes officiating. Burial will be in Eden Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wellsville City Library, Wellsville UMC or the Eden Presbyterian Church in care of Wilsons Funeral Home, PO Box 486, Wellsville, Kansas 66092.
Sharon was born May 14, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of John H. and Berniece K.(Steed) Labert. She attended grade school in Dundee, MI and graduated from Osage High School in 1976. She was a childhood member of 4-H and the Order of Rainbow for Girls. In her adulthood, she was a member of the Eastern Star and was active in her church.
On August 6, 1977, she married Dennis Nuehring. He preceded her in death in 1985. On July 25, 1987, she married Denny Mihm. They later divorced.
Sharon loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. She loved to quilt, to make rugs, garden, sew, bake and decorate cakes, collect antiques and was an Elvis Presley enthusiast. Sharon not only donated her time serving on several committees, but also gave the gift of life through organ donation.
Sharon is survived by her son, Timothy and Laura Nuehring and son Ethan of Woodbury, Minnesota; daughter, Holly and Paul Manny and children Owen, Sophie, Aiden and Asher of Wellsville, Kansas; son, Michael and Lindsay Nuehring and sons Calum and Kael of Mason City; parents, John and Berniece Labert of Wideman, Arkansas; sisters, Donna and Paul Jennings of Osage, Cheryl and Mark Hemann of Osage, Rebecca Johnson of Milano, Texas; brother, John M. and Stephanie Labert of Mountain View, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Avon and Jerry Rurup of Titonka, Donna and Marloe Ellingson of Joice, Nancy Hirota of Osage, Janet and Gerald May of Osage, Ronda Olson of Rose Creek, Minnesota; 24 nieces and nephews and her special friend, Denny Mihm.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Nuehring, father-in-law, Dean Nuehring; mother-in-law, Elsie Nuehring and sister-in-law, Brenda Ricke.
