Barbara "Barb" Holm, 64, of Orchard, died Friday, March 3, 2017 in her own home surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service for Barb will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City with St. Croix Hospice Chaplain Brad Wysomierski officiating. Burial will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.

Visitation will take place Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hauser Funeral Home and continue one hour before the service at the funeral home on Friday.

Barbara "Barb" Jean (Fiser) Holm was born on November 18, 1952 to Robert and Shirley (Gunsallus) Fiser in Floyd County, Iowa. She attended school in Charles City up until the tornado when she transferred to Osage schools. She later obtained her GED through NIACC in Mason City. Barb married Robert Holm on October 9, 1970 at St. John Lutheran Church in Charles City.

Barb loved painting ceramics, bird watching and making quilts. Her family was always very important to her; she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, neighbors, and friends.

Living family members include her husband Bob of Orchard; mother: Shirley Fiser of Charles City; siblings: Robert Fiser of Waverly, Jim Fiser of Charles City, Janet Groven of Charles City, Nancy (Brian) Johnson of Cambridge, Iowa, and Connie Fiser of Charles City; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Robert Fiser; brother-in-law: Bill Groven; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
