FUNERAL NOTICE:

OSAGE, IOWA — Arla Ewy, age 92, of Osage, and formerly of Riceville, died Monday, November 14, 2016, at Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Iowa.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 17, at the Saratoga Presbyterian Church in Saratoga, Iowa.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 pm Wednesday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville.

Obituary for Arla A. Ewy

Arla was born May 11, 1924 in Riceville. She was a graduate of Riceville High School.

She married Victor Ewy on August 31, 1958 at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. She and Victor operated a dairy and hog farm north of the Acme Store. On the farm Arla took pride in raising chickens and maintaining a large garden, as well as cooking and baking for the family. Upon retiring Arla and Victor moved to Riceville where Arla enjoyed her morning coffee group.

Arla is survived by three children: Gary (Marlene) Severson of Nooksack, WA, Cindy (Loren) Harris of Osage and Mark Ewy of Osage; one grandson, Jamie Severson of Redding, CA; and one brother Dale Wendorff of Spring Valley, MN.

Arla was preceded in death by Mother, Hulda Wendorff and her husband Victor.
