Died November 12, 2016

Rose Ida Wilde, age 100, of Osage, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1202 390th Street, west of Osage, with Pastor David A. Werges and Diaconal Minister Elayne J. Werges officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Rose was born April 1, 1916, in Grafton, the daughter of George and Mary (Koehler) Wahl. She graduated from Grafton High School. Rose was united in marriage to Roy Wilde on September 18, 1933 in Grafton. They farmed in the area until semi-retiring and moved to Osage in 1983. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower garden in the summer time, and making quilts in the winter time. She always enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rose is survived by two daughters, Arliene Kuntz of St. Ansgar and Rosemary Wilde of Mason City; daughter-in-law, Shirley Wilde of Osage; 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by, her parents; husband Roy in 1996; son, Melvin Wilde; granddaughter, Debra Voight; son-in-law, Gene Kuntz; two brothers, Raymond and Armond Wahl; and sister, Lillian Wahl.
