Lucille Bublitz, 103, of St. Ansgar died Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society - St. Ansgar in St. Ansgar.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton with Pastor Solveig A.H. Zamzow officiating. Burial will be in the Grafton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Lucille Bublitz, 103, of St. Ansgar died Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society - St. Ansgar in St. Ansgar.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton with Pastor Solveig A.H. Zamzow officiating. Burial will be in the Grafton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Lucille Emma Bublitz, the daughter of Fredrick and Sadie (Glassel) Wahl, was born August 2, 1912, in Cleveland, Ohio. The family then moved to northern Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Harold Bublitz on November 12, 1936, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton. To this union, five children were born. Lucille was a very hard worker and helped as much as she could with farming. She and her husband owned and operated the Evergreen Game Farm that they started in the 1950’s. Her family was especially fond of her bread and pancakes.

Lucille is survived by two children, Elaine Huebner of Grafton, and David (Debby) Bublitz of Carpenter; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Knechtel of Frederic, Wisconsin; daughters-in-law, Marilyn Bublitz of Osage, and Laurie Bublitz of Grafton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold in 1987; sons, Darrel, Dale, and Dean Bublitz; a son-in-law, Kermit Huebner; daughters-in-law, Lorraine Bublitz and Dorothy Bublitz; an infant grandson and an infant granddaughter; a grandson, Leo Bublitz; sisters, Ethel, Alice, Clarice, Erma, and Mildred; a brother, John Wahl; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
