Stanley Ingvald Williams was born May 16, 1895 on his parents' farm southeast of Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Gustav Moller Williams and Bertha Hansdatter Peterson, the second of their five children. He was baptized on July 7, 1895 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. His baptismal sponsors were his grandparents, Mr & Mrs Hans Peterson Alms; his uncle, Peder Williams and an aunt, Laura Williams. Stanley was confirmed at RCLC on June 5, 1910.
He attended country school and one term at the Cedar Valley Seminary, Osage, Iowa. He and his brother, Homer, belonged to a community band that would perform at neighborhood events. Stanley served in the US Army from July 25, 1918 to January 9, 1919.
Stanley married Mildred Emma Lewis (Westling) on August 21, 1936 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had no children together although he was step-father to Mildred's son, Keith Westling. The family lived in the house his father had built on their farm, then moved to Meroa in 1962. He bought this house from Olava Peterson, it was one of a few houses that his father Gustav Williams had built. He lost his leg in a sawmill accident in the woods in Meroa; he recovered and wore a prosthesis. Stanley was a farmer, carpenter and wood worker, having a shop in his garage.

Stanley I Williams died May 22, 1976 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. His funeral was held on May 24, 1976 and he was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. His pall bearers were neighbors: Loren Berge, Galen Docken, Merrill Johnson, Edwin Maakestad, and Dean & Marvin Johnson.
There is a memorial for him at Find a Grave #57773570 with photos.
