Catherine (Caddy) Klapperich

#1:

STACYVILLE, IOWA — Catherine (Caddy) Klapperich, 96, of Stacyville, died on Monday, February 15, 2016, at Stacyville Community Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, at Sacred Heart Oratory, Meyer, Iowa, with the Rev. Raymond Burkle CPPS officiating.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meyer, Iowa.

Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at Sacred Heart Oratory, Meyer, Iowa.

Obituary--

Catherine was born January 6, 1920 to John and Helen (Blake) Hackenmiller. She lived and grew up in the Meyer area all her life, marrying her sweetheart, Carl Klapperich on October 3, 1945, at Sacred Heart Church in Meyer, Iowa. Catherine enjoyed gardening, baking, playing cards, quilting, and just being with her family, 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Catherine is survived by her sons: Charlie (Laurie), Norman (Marcia), Joel (Jane) and Jan (Sheila); daughters, Ann (Bill) Papas, and Karen (Marc) Schumann; twenty-one grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren; one sister, two sisters-in-law, Esther Klapperich (Lawrence) and Mary Ann Klapperich (Norbert).
