Ida Annette Torblaa was born January 1, 1889 on a farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Ole Larsen Torblaa and Martha Ivarsdatter Syse (Olsen), the youngest of their four children.

Ida was baptzied on February 3, 1889 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Her baptismal sponsors were: Anne Torblaa; Iver Nelsen; Anna Regina (Mrs Lars Iver) Olsen and Katrine Nelson. Ida was confirmed at RCLC on June 5, 1904.

Ida married Elmer Obed Dahley on May 15, 1912 at her parents' home near Meroa, Cedar, Iowa.

The couple had 3 children:
Erling Orland (b August 3, 1914, d May 15, 1999 Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa);
Ilene Marjorie (b June 9, 1918, d March 20, 1996 Coos Bay, Coos, Oregon) and
Marcella Elaine (b January 7, 1926, d March 19, 1944 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa).

Found in the 1900 census living at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa: Ole L Torblan 43, Martha Torblan 53, Leonide Torblan 19, Clara Torblan 15, Bertine Torblan 15, Ida Torblan 11.

Found in the 1905 - 1940 censuses at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1910: Ole L Torblan 53, Martha Torblan 52, Clara Torblan 25, Ida Torblan 21, Gilbert Lee 25.

1915: Ida Dahley age 25.

1920: Elmer O Dahley 28[23], Ida A Dahley 31, Erling O Dahley 5, Ilene M Dahley 1[1 6/12.]

1925: Elmer I Dahley 34, Ida A Dahley 36, Erling O Dahley 10, Irlene M Dahley 6.

1930: Elmer O Dahley 39, Ida A Dahley 41, Erling O Dahley 15, Ilene E Dahley 11, Marcella E Dahley 4 yrs 4 mos.

1940: Elmer Dahley 48, Ida 51, Marcella 13, Ole Olson age 35..

Ida A Dahley died June 29, 1977 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
