Thelma Lurley Tollefson was born June 2, 1900 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa to Carl Thomas Tollefson and Clara Olivia Lane, the second of their five children. She was baptized on July 1, 1900 at the First Lutheran Church at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa.

Found in the 1910 - 1925 censuses living at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1910: Carl T Tollefson 38, Clara Oliva Lane Tollefsen 37, Helga M Tollefson 13, Helena L (should be Thelma) Tollefson 9, Clarice V Tollefson 2.

1915: Telma Tollefson age 14

1920: Carl T Tollefson 48, Clara O Tollefson 47, Helga Mae Tollefson 23, Thelma L Tollefson 19, Clarice V Tollefson 12, June A Tollefson 1 yr 7 mos.

1925: C T Tollefson 53, Mrs. Clara Tollefson 52, Max Tollefson 28, Thelma Tollefson 24, Clarie Tollefson 17, Jana Tollefson 6.

Thelma attended the Iowa State College at Ames, Iowa and became a teacher.

Found in the 1930 - 1940 censuses at Twin Falls, Twin Falls, Idaho:
1930: Thelma Tollefson age 30, renting a room.

1940: Thelma Tollefson age 39.

Thelma married Joseph Glen Toolson (b May 31, 1893, d July 18, 1975) on January 2, 1945. The couple lived at Twin Falls, Idaho. Do not know if the couple had children.

Thelma Toolson died on April 26, 1986 at Twin Falls, Idaho. She was buried at the Twin Falls Cemetery, Twin Falls, Idaho.

There is a memorial for her at Find a Grave #125237213 with a photo of her gravestone.
