Caroline (Knutson) Troe – March 13, 1887 – November 17, 1940

TROE SERVICES ARE CONDUCTED
NORTHWOOD WOMAN DIED AT HER HOME AFTER LENGTHY ILLNESS

Northwood – Funeral services for Mrs. Ben Troe, 53, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Northwood Lutheran Church preceded by a brief prayer service at 1:30 p.m., at the Conner Funeral Home. The Rev. A. J. Tolp conducted the rites. Burial was in Sunset Rest Cemetery.

Mrs. Troe died Sunday at her home in Northwood after a long Illness. Her entire life had been spent in the Northwood-Carpenter vicinities. She was born March 13, 1887, on a farm west of Carpenter. Her maiden name was Caroline Knutson.

On January 26, 1910, she was married to Ben Troe at Northwood, by the Rev. David Stoeve. Four children were born to them all of whom, with their father survive. They are Mrs. Gladys Thompson, Glenville; Lawrence Troe; Carpenter; Blanche and Arnold, living at home. There are two grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Ole Anderson and Mrs. Sever Lee, and one brother, Sever Knutson, reside near Carpenter.
